Do I need CAD experience?
No. You describe the home in ordinary words — how many bedrooms, roughly how big, what shape roof — and ForgeHome lays out the rooms, walls, doors and windows for you. From there you can drag things on the plan or keep describing changes.
Is the output a picture or a real model?
A real model. ForgeHome builds an actual house — real walls, doors, windows, stairs and roof — as data, then renders it with Three.js. You can orbit or walk through it in 3D, edit rooms on the plan, and export it as a drawing, a 3D file or a print-ready model — none of which an image generator can do.
How much does it cost?
Design prompts use your shared Lumora credit balance, with a free monthly allowance. Credits are shared across the Lumora products that use credits, managed in one place: your account centre at id.lumorabuild.com/account.
Do I need a separate ForgeHome account?
No. ForgeHome uses your Lumora account. If you already have a Lumora Build account, you can sign in with it.
Does it run on my machine or in the cloud?
Both, deliberately. The house engine and 3D viewer run locally in your browser, so most edits update the model instantly without a round trip. Describing a house or asking for changes goes through our servers to a hosted AI model.
Can I export what I design?
Yes. Projects save to your account, and you can export a scaled PDF drawing set, SVG, DXF, a 3D file (GLB or OBJ), an STL for 3D printing, or a PNG — straight from the workspace.
Is this a substitute for an architect?
No — and it isn't trying to be. ForgeHome is for exploring ideas fast and showing people what you mean, long before anyone draws construction documents. Treat the output as a design sketch in 3D, not an engineered plan.
